The Above Data is taken directly from Pontiac production reports, Some 1991 and 1992 Data is from PHS.
Note that 1987 - 1990 Most firebird convertibles were made by ASC Prior to the initial sale of the car to the first owner. Cars were ordered by a dealer, drop shipped to ASC in MI, and then shipped to their final destination. They are not a part of the normal Production of Pontiac as Pontiac did not officially offer a convertible until the 1991 model year. All convertibles from 1987-1992 were made by ASC, along side the Camaro Convertibles. The "Production" versions of the Convertibles were not available with the L98 (350 engine). All 87-90 Firebird convertibles have a VIN of a coupe.
*NOTE: 91-92 Note: B4U Firehawk #18 & 23 were never converted, The following are Firehawks without the B4U RPO: Firehawk # 24 (Dk Green), 25 (Bright White, T-tops) & 26 (Dk Jade Gray), #27 is a TA Convertible, Also Note: #22 was the only non Red B4U car painted Dark Aqua.
